I enjoyed using the Sierra Charts trading because I wasn't hypnotized by the flickering of the futures DOM.

But when I had two market orders that didn't fill on it then I was no longer confident of it.

Are there any other software methods to trade futures besides the DOM and the Sierra Charts trading?

Sure, plenty of options. NinjaTrader beats Sierra like a drum. But... every platform has its strengths and weaknesses, pros / cons etc. Market orders that don't fill are a serious problem. Market orders that fill several ticks from where anticipated would not be uncommon in a moving market. Good luck.

How certain are you this wasn't user error?

Post your Sierra logs, the transaction should be in the logs.

I attached an image in my previous post on this same forum but here's the image again. It shows my current price I had bought then clearly shows the market order I submitted and is still on the chart as ES continued sinking...

This happened the day before yesterday for the first time since I've used it for a month without a problem. My broker said I must've lost internet connection for a slight second but it then happened again yesterday for the second time. Then my broker said, he'd never seen anything like that and instructed me to use the DOM, not Sierra Charts trading anymore...

No offense, but that image is worthless. A camera capture?

Click on the word screenshot in my post to learn how to do proper screenshots.

And the Sierra message and alerts log is what is needed here, it will show what happened. Without them you can't blame your broker.

Ok. I'll submit the log. My broker is working on emailing it to me, so I can send it to Sierra Charts.

I don't think I was trying to blame my broker but blaming Sierra Charts software for its inability to execute my market order two times in two consecutive days. It's no big deal when I was trading just 1 lot but what if I was trading 5 or 10? I'll go back to DOM if I have to, so I can have confidence in orders executing.

If your broker never received the market order, then the broker can't help you here.

The log is on your local client, and in this case has nothing to do with the broker.

If you have a log that shows the order submitted along with the order # reference, then you can involve the broker to find out why it wasn't executed.
