I participated in the live Kinetick webinar today and I would like to go ahead and sign up but I could really use some beginner advice. Right now I am with IB and using NT as my platform. I am currently paper trading but only long enough to familiarize my all of the controls. To use Kintetick and their waiver, I would need to first purchase a live license from NT. My question though have more to do with what markets I will need to subscribe to with Kinetick. If I want to perhaps follow some stocks and trade some selected ETFs, what do I need to subscribe to? Kintetick customer service told me that the waiver only applies to CBOT, CME, COMEX, NYMEX. With that said, I'm considering whether I need the following:

AMEX Level 1
Down Jones Indexes
Nasdaq Level 1
Nasdaq OpenView
NYSE Level 1

Does it look to you like this would cover about anything that I would come across? Any of them that are a waste? My main weakness is that I don't know anything! There, I said it! LOL. As a new trader mainly focus on those ETF's and particular stocks, I don't know which indexes and markets I need to subscribe to. Any advice would be appreciated.

Snce Kintetick told me that those 4 items above are included, I'm guessing that I should check all of the boxes that have, for example anything with "CBOT" in it like:

CBOT
CBOT E-Mini

and for the Comex, check the boxes next to:

Comex
Comex Delayed

Do I have this correct? Thanks for your patience. I hope to one day look back at this post and laugh at how green I was. For now though, everything seems confusing.

I would suggest you email them exactly which products you need to receive and they will work up a plan for you. All the exchanges can be a bit confusing.

I have been emailing them back and forth and they have been helpful. Let me ask this; If I buy the nasdaq feed, do I need the openview? What exactly does that provide. I saw some technical information on google about it but what does that provide to me as a trader and do I need it as someone learning?

If I recall correctly, OpenView is Level 2. So if you want to see depth of market, then you need it. If you only care about the inside bid/ask, then no you don't need it.
