Broker that offers Metatrader with Futures data feed (to replace Broco)
I normally do some analysis in the futures markets (CL, Euro, ES, Gold, etc.) using Metatrader 4 due to the easiness to change timeframes and some indicators I have for the platform. In addition, I normally have a version of metatrader in all my computers and notebooks due to the software small footprint.
I had a demo account from Broco that now is going down, anybody know of any other brokerage offering futures feed for Metatrader?
Thanks!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I'm going to give you my very BIASED opinion. Rather than seek a broker that offers futures in metatrader, why not seek a typical FCM that offers Forex that suitable on a different platform.
After I saw the videos of the metatrader "broker's version" which allows the brokers to manipulate fills and slippage and all sorts of shenanigans, I swore I'd never touch Metatrader. It seems to me that the platform was either designed intentionally with the option of allowing it's masters to manipulate the users, or it became an integral part of it.
I'm not saying that other platforms don't have the same capability, but I haven't seen them documented as such and the majority of horror stories I've read and heard were in Forex.
I realize you're probably invested heavily in your training and familiarity of Metatrader, but switching platforms isn't all that bad unless you're a heavy algo guy with significant coding challenges to changeover.
You never know, you might find a platform that's better than Metatrader, and offers more features, indicators, studies, chart types, etc.

As I said in my post, I use metatrader just for high level analysis... nothing like getting my notebook in the plane or in bed, and in few seconds have the platform running to put some trendlines, flip from weekly daily 4h 1h super fast and be done in 3 minutes.... I'm just so used to it... and it runs even in the weakest notebook you may have at hand... (that can not be said for Tradestation, etc...).
Thanks Obelixtrader.... this is already a great option... the only drawback is that they don't provide data beyond the current contract for futures, which makes longer term analysis impossible...
Any other options out there? I will use this one for now... many thanks again!
