This is my first post. I'm interested in learning how to trade treasuries and treasury futures (paper trading) as an intro to trading in general. I have zen-fire set up over ninjatrader as a platform for that. I can view prices and bid/ask for treasury futures, but I don't know how to get current information about spot prices. Is there any way to view such information through ninjatrader?
Thank you

When creating a new thread, note which subforum you are in. Here is a short list of suggestions:
- Topic: Anything to do with an Elite indicator -> Subforum: The Elite Circle
- Topic: Looking for an existing indicator, or how-to use an indicator -> Subforum: (the platform)
- Topic: Programmer needing help with non-Elite indicator -> Subforum: (the platform) - Programming
- Topic: Want an indicator created/modified -> Reply to "Want indicator created free" in Elite Circle
- Topic: Vendors (trading rooms, commercial indicators) -> Subforum: Vendors/Product Reviews
- Topic: Discussion of Forex or Currency trading -> Subforum: Forex and Currency Trading
- Topic: Journals of your trading -> Subforum: Trading Journals or Elite Trading Journals
- Topic: General trading related discussions -> Subforum: Traders Hideout
- Topic: Discussion of a trading method -> Subforum: Traders Hideout
- Topic: Automated Trading -> Subforum: Elite Automated Trading
Last, any Elite Member may create more or less any of these topics in The Elite Circle at your own discretion (your support is appreciated).
This is just a short general list and doesn't cover everything. If you are unsure where to create your new thread, just create it in Traders Hideout and a moderator will move it if necessary.
ZN - 10 year note is a popular one and has a lot of volume. To me it moves a bit unusual and of course most times inverse to equity markets. Good luck trading.
Bluemele, thank you for the response. It was my understanding that ZN is the 10 year futures instrument. Is there a way to look at the underlying deliverable treasury bonds through ninjatrader?
Yes, sorry about that as I guess I wasn't paying attention. Honestly, I do not know, but I don't see why not and depends upon broker and data feed (i.e. what they carry).
Sorry, don't do it, but thought I would just try to help.
Bluemele: thanks, that makes sense. Unfortunately, I know next to nothing about the various brokers and their offerings. I suppose I could switch over to thinkorswim for a while to get the hang on things, but I feel like that may be detrimental in the long run, as I've read that thinkorswim does not have competitive fees.
