I used to clear through them when I was backed for a while. I know a lot of people who used to be with them. Fisher runs a really tight ship. I got a lot more size by leaving. He won't even clear for some of my friends/fellow traders strategies'.

Who I went with after mbf was recently bought out by MF Global. My understanding is MF kept all everyones rates and leverage the same. Stone is really easy to work with also.

Not as good as the competition. It all depends on how much size you move.

I didn't get into it. I know they gave me/us half the size we were going to get somewhere else. At that point in my career, my focus wasn't on his risk parameters, and it wasn't my place to ask.

MBF clears all non-nymex through MF Global (or did ), so MBF guys aren't trading that much until wens at the earliest.

Nobody I know is too happy about it.

wow, that is interesting.. considering they are a CME member, why would they bother going through MFG? let's hope there was no fraud with MFG and that the funds were indeed segregated as they should have been...

My understanding is that smaller nymex FCM's have deals where they clear NYMEX futures but use other FCM's for the rest of their business. They had different regulations across the board.

FWIW, I guess MBF has everything back up and running today.
