Maybe Dan will come back in as an IB for himself under "AMP FUTURES IB"...

Haha, I'd prefer you write a full sentence carefully explaining how genius my comedic input really is!

I am quite self-conscious about my Norwegian accent, however, thus it is not an option for me to call.

Ha Ha!!

Thanks so much, everyone, for diving in so intently.

I will soon have all my questions answered about my current broker and data feed.

I've been using all the same symbols as I did with Zen. What is M6E. Is that 6E?

d

It's the micro 6E. The E7 is in between the two.

I dropped Dan (of AMP Trading) a message regarding the CQG questions, but have not yet heard back from him. More to come hopefully....

I'm currently trying to switch that to my main trade routing as I opened up a small account there. I was hoping I could get OCO Brackets to place trades in CQG trader, but I'm waiting to hear from my broker on that. They were there when I was running the demo trying it out for those 3 days, but upon logging in with live credentials that went away.

Looks like there is a monthly charge to be able to place OCO brackets with my broker and CQG Trader. I might just continue on with my TA DOM.

Dan's answers are interspersed in red for clarity:

1) Does AMP Trading have its own co-located server(s) @ CQG Data Centers for its offering or does it use CQG's existing infrastructure for its client to access from NinjaTrader? Basically, who owns and manages the gateway servers and where are they located?

He says CQG owns and manages all of the gateway servers. AMP does not have their own CQG infrastructure. He also pointed out that AMP/CQG usernames/passwords are generated by CQG's back office to help illustrate the point. He stated that the major CQG datacenter locations include Chicago, Singapore, London, Sydney, and China.

2) If the answer to #1 is yes,why does AMP Trading have its own server(s) for its CQG offering as opposed to using CQG's existing infrastructure as most brokerages do that offer CQG Trader or CQG Integrated Client? That is, why was this necessary to create new infrastructure?

All infrastructure is provided by CQG and is shared by all clients.

3) Is there any difference at all in quality (speed or accuracy) of AMP's CQG offering when compared to CQG's own?

According to him, it's the same hardware, same datacenters, same data for all customers.

4) Are there any performance limits placed on AMP's CQG offering compared to CQG's own?

No limits, same product, but different frontends.

Take it for what it's worth ladies and gentlemen, these are Dan's claims. I hope this helps.

I am the Director of Trade Routing at CQG. I can confirm that the statements made by Dan our correct. The servers that dispense the data to the AMP / Ninja apllication are the same that are used by both CQGTrader and our CQG integrated Clients.

i tried CQG last year, through amp.I switched from zenfire, which i was happy with.A fellow trader informed me that he was happier with CQG, and that he thought the feed was better. For some reason, on the cl, the insidebid /ask was much thinner a few ticks out either way.So, i put up the NQ,and the inside ask was 1 contract.I called Steve at AMP, and he told me that everyone else he was aware of had no problems. Is it possible that it was on my end? Im not sure.I dont do anything on the internet on my trading computer, so there is no firewall or security.I went back to zenfire the next day.Coincidentally, my friend still uses CQG with no problem. When i got the email, about zenfire starting to carge for inactivity fees, i called Steve at amp in Lanuary this year, and explained the experience i had last year.He told me there was no problems with CQG now.
