Jedi, you need to post real information of value when reporting something like this. Post your broker statement. Post your execution log.

Otherwise, its like crying wolf...

Let's see the details. I've asked numerous times now

Mike

Mike... why would I cry wolf? Who's your data provider? What's your experience? Sierra has nothing to do with execution but data feed does..

You want to see charts, I've posted plenty of charts, you want to see daily activity log, I've even posted that with a daily summary of my live trades... what's the deal? Now you think I'm crying wolf and reading my statements wrong?

That day was not one of my best trading days for me but I suppose I can post it but then what? Let's hear some experiences from Rithmic, CQG and R-Trader users first.. That's what I'm looking for..

I suppose I can but this was a non-simulated trade on Sierra using direct Rithmic feed with a recorded time and price of execution on Sierra's Trade Activity Log.. I doubt I read the time or execution price wrong..

Sierra's log doesn't mean much. No software's log does. They have a "Refresh Trade Data" button for a reason. That's my point, that a log from Sierra may be out of sync with what your broker/clearing/exchange says.

For live trades? That means they recorded the time wrong by over 3 minutes.. that's not very re-assuring.. I go over the day when its over to evaluate my trades especially on stop outs and the time needs to be accurate..

What do you use for your OE platform and what has been your experience?

You are saying you have a bad fill, but you've not posted anything showing the actual fill price. This isn't a big deal... just post the Sierra execution log, and post the section of your broker statement that shows the fill price. Both should also have an exact time stamp.

I'm just trying to make sure you haven't overlooked something.

I don't care about your trades, just trying to help you solve a bad fill.

You can block out everything but this trade in the log and in the broker statement using most any photo editing software, such as SnagIt. No one cares about the rest of your trades or if the day was good or bad.

Just looking to get the details to back up what you are saying, and ultimately help solve it.

Agree, the broker statement is the more important info here, but looking at Sierra's log is also useful because this whole thing may just be a user error. I've made plenty of user errors before, I assume Jedi is not immune to making mistakes.

So Jedi, just post the details so we can look at it and give you another opinion.

Could you elaborate on this, is it common that the trade activity log is not accurate? What's the reason for the refresh trade data button?

I just figured out why.. The entry time was crunched and I was looking at the exit time... Actually that provides a lot of relief for my confidence with my platform.. I wonder how both myself and my brokers and the trade desk never caught that..

It really doesn't matter who my OE is with as long as the executions are fast and accurate...

By crunched, do you mean the column width was not wide enough to display what was in the field, and you mistook the exit time for the entry time?

BTW, what does OE here mean?

Order execution, haha. That got me wondering for a while, too.
