What do you mean? Zen Fire data feed seems to come with your broker, I am not sure if you could order it somewhere without funding a broker account. Kinetick is a NT company and is not free. I feel that I can rely on this data feed, I have very rare problems with it but had never delayed quotes.
Moving from Kinetick to Zen Fire means to change your broker, at least for me as I am with IB right now.
Zen Fire comes also with NT itself, I mean you dont have to pay for the Ninja Trader then. At least this works with Mirus. NT lifetime license costs about $1,000. I have heard that it comes with the same functions as the paid NT version does, only difference shall be that the version that comes with the broker has some less ATM functions compared with the paid version.
NT charges 10 ct per halfturn as a license fee it you use the static DOM. You dont have to pay these 10 ct per trade if NT/Zen Fire comes with your broker (at least when you use Mirus), but the broker fees are higher that if you have an account at IB.
Thankyou for detailed reply PowerM...I'm not entirely sure what you mean by yr comment "What do you mean?" so I will just reply in terms of what has been achieved since then.
I have decided to just simplify life by subscribing to Kinetick. $50 a month is preferable to the angst of having delayed data. I still have the Zenfire connection to my broker Mirus - I log on to Kinetick first & then to Zenfire second.
It all seems to be working perfectly now...my data is coming through without delay & I can at least trade direct from the charts again.
After 3 months of problem free data, Zenfire data had suddenly started coming thru' delayed up to 20 minutes Of course I couldn't place a trade. No-one seemed remotely interested in explaining/assisting with the problem either which is very frustrating.
Its expensive picking up the phone from Australia late at night for long tech-support conversations & no resolution. That so does not work for me.
All good now & appreciate everyone's contribution re their experience etc.
