stress is self created, it is your own making thru the process of relentless thinking. When your happiness and worth is dependent on external happenings, stress is bound to happen. The irony is you dont have control over your mind or its content. If you do, you can ask it to stop thinking and give it a shot. What works is to realize that you are not your mind and but you are the witness or observer thru the practice of mindfulness. Please dont try to control your mind and thoughts, it is another way to manufacture stress. Just practice mindfulness by observing them. If you can JUST SIT for few mins and observe the thoughts without getting attached to it, will do wonders with stress over time.
Like trading, practice of mindfulness takes commitment and dedication.
