Do You Think of Yourself as a Trader?

Do You Think of Yourself as a Trader?

In other words, is that your primary identity? Is it who you are? Or are you who you are(John, Mary, etc.), an individual who also happens to trade? I guess what I'm asking is - Is some detachment necessary in order to be successful at trading? Consersely, is being too attached bad? Where is that happy medium?

I should let my wife answer this question LOL!!!!. Even thou I love my wife dearly, our marriage suffered from the previous businesses I was in. She felt that I had abandoned her and she is feeling the same way with my trading business based on the time I spend trading, studying, reading and entering my journal. Unfortunately, I can't help myself, I love what I do and can't imagine doing anything different. It is not in my DNA to work for corporate America.

At the end of the year, it is about what the IRS defines you as
