haha I think now is a great opportunity to clarify what appreciation / gratefulness is.

It is not about ignoring reality. It is, however, about channeling one's focus in a positive way, in a constructive way.

When we appreciate, we do not ignore the things that are not currently working as we would like them to be. But, we choose to direct our focus to things that are working, that put us in a positive state of mind... so that there is a greater chance of success, of feeling good, of operating from a place of empowerment, happiness, and our Greater Self.

I think I will point out something about thanking other people, which is part of appreciating them.

When I joined this forum, I was impressed by something @Big Mike wrote about using the Thanks button, when others took the time to help you or said something you liked, just to thank them for it.

If you look at my number of "Thanks," I have received a few, but compare that to the number I have given, which is way more.

I meant all of them, too.

It's what makes the world go round.

Bob.

1. I'm thankful pro sports are back. I'm not a super die hard, but I enjoy watching and its 1 step towards normalcy.
2. I'm thankful Vegas is in doing well in the NHL playoffs, I claimed them as my team back when they were first announced. Makes it more fun to watch.
3. I'm thankful for a healthy life. So many people, friends, family have some issue, whether its physical or mental. I've made it through life with basically no health issues, and it does make life all the more easy. Also a good reminder to stay in good health.

Here I am, waking up in Miami.
The itch to trade is there, and I need to remind myself that the crazy market will still be there when I come back.

#1. I am grateful I made it safe here yesterday. The Miami Airport looked like a ghost town... South Beach is a lot better, most places are open.
#2. Looks like free public transport around town, so I can do lot of exploring easy.
#3. So many possibilities today....

Have an awesome day guys!

Enjoy your trip to Miami.

I've stayed there for a week last year in October. South Beach is just amazing, and don't miss to stop by at Moreno's Bar on Collins Avenue, they have the very best cocktails around there...

Collins is... LONG!!

I know...

It's located opposite from The Shore Club, 1901 Collins Avenue, near 18th street if I remember correctly...
And it's close to Maxim's Bistro and restaurant (where they have great and not too expensive food around the clock).

And btw, don't rent a car, the parking fees in Miami will cost you more than your entire stay.

There are many public buses available, every few minutes they'll take you for $2.50 from South Beach to South Pointe, Downtown Miami and to Biscayne Blvd. and Bayfront Center as well as to other destinations ...

Free transportation (Collins Express) works only during a few hours.

Another great place for shopping and dining is on Lincoln Road...which is not as long as Collins Ave.

Sweet I am at 17th.

Miami suspended all public transit fares un response to covid, so it's all a free ride.

I checked out Lincoln yesterday already. There was a bookshop there I wanted to see (I'm a nerd haha), but it closed down.

That's great!

Enjoy your vacation, even if things and life are not that easy as usual...

My life has never been 'usual'.... for which I am absolutely grateful to God / the Universe.

'Usual' might not be the right word...perhaps 'more carefree' or 'livelier' would describe it better, as it has been last year in October...
And my life has been quite a nice rollercoaster so far, but I wouldn't change anything, even if I could...

Morning Traders!
Right now, I appreciate...

#1 - the Miami vibe - this city smells of money, I love it. If I were an American with $5+ mil, I know where I would live.
#2 - re-reading Taleb's awesome book 'Antifragile'. So much insight... and very entertaining.
#3 - more exploration today, will make up mind over morning coffee what places I will hit up today

What's cooking at your end, guys?
