I found this thread when I saw Anagami comment on a different thread (something about the types of meditation), and I thought "what a positive guy, let me see what hes up to on this board", and here I am.

....

I moved back to Canada after 20 years in the US, and while both have their pros and cons, with Canada having much more seasons than Phoenix/Vegas, you really appreciate the summer because winter is just a few months away.

Thank you for joining us brother, feel free to post daily in this thread about the wonderful things in your life that make you feel uplifted. :tee2:
As we uplift others, we uplift ourselves. As we uplift ourselves, we uplift others.

I am considering moving back to Canada myself (after 6 years of dividing my time between Mexico and Thailand), as that may potentially be better suited to fulfilling my life purpose at this time.

I really appreciate your feedback, Johnny! Let's keep it going. When trading, it is so important to feel good, and to trade out of a place of fullness and abundance. Nobody really mentions these factors, but they affect one's performance in a big way! When we feel great, we trade well. The same goes for the rest of our lives. Our energy affects everything around us!

What a beautiful morning today.... What awesome things are we going to choose to think about and feel right now?

#1 - Yesterday afternoon I got some post-covid exhaustion, just zero energy, collapsed in the bed. I slept about 4 hours, but then I was Ok, even had enough in the gas tank to work out later. THANK YOU UNIVERSE / GOD for my returning energy. Even when there are setbacks sometimes, blessings follow after them!!! I am ALIVE!! How cool is that?????? And what wonderful things can I do with the time given me on this Earth????
#2 - Here is my absolute favorite CD that I like to listen to every day: 80s Vintage Reggae. Amazing... so soothing.
#3 - I appreciate and love my FIO friends. Let's continue on this path together. We can be happy, make a living doing what we love, and share and grow together so many blessings surrounding us.

Today I'm thankful for:

1) Technology of all kinds. It's very easy to take for granted having internet, smart phones, trading software, wifi, etc. I didn't grow up with any of it, and was a young adult when the internet was just becoming something. I did dialup, bbs' etc. The ability to do what we do is relatively new to the human race in the big scheme of things.
2) A drama free, peaceful life. Life is so much more smooth sailing when toxic people and situations aren't involved.
3) Self reflection and foward thinking. I find myself more and more thinking about my life, places I've visited or lived, people I've met, old friends, etc. I also put myself back to those times, say 5, 10, 20 years ago and at those points wouldn't have imagined all the great experiences to come. It also makes me excited for the future, whats in store. I highly suspect 10 years from now it'll be the same, looking back to 2020 and thinking I had no idea what life had in store for me.

Have a GREAT weekend!

On this gorgeous morning, I feel like flowing my appreciation towards WW (That's Walt Whitman , not Walter White lol). Whitman was an amazing man, with a profound feeling for life and a deep understanding of human condition.

Here are some of my favorite quotes from the Leaves of Grass that I use to nourish my Spirit at times. I prefer the 1855 edition. I don't have my copy with me (waiting for me in Thailand), so I am forced to scrape quotes online:

#1 - "Do I contradict myself? Very well then I contradict myself, I am large, I contain multitudes."

#2 - "I exit as I am, that is enough."

#3 - "A morning-glory at my window satisfies me more than the metaphysics of books."

#4 - As a tribute to Breaking Bad:
"When I heard the learn’d astronomer;
When the proofs, the figures, were ranged in columns before me;
When I was shown the charts and the diagrams, to add, divide, and measure them;
When I, sitting, heard the astronomer, where he lectured with much applause in the
lecture-room,
How soon, unaccountable, I became tired and sick;
Till rising and gliding out, I wander’d off by myself,
In the mystical moist night-air, and from time to time,
Look’d up in perfect silence at the stars."

#5 - "Stop this day and night with me and you shall possess the origin of all poems,
You shall possess the good of the earth and sun.... there are millions of suns left,
You shall no longer take things at second or third hand.... nor look through the eyes of the dead.... nor feed on the spectres in books,
You shall not look through my eyes either, nor take things from me,
You shall listen to all sides and filter them from yourself."

#6 - "There was never any more inception than there is now,
Nor any more youth or age than there is now;
And will never be any more perfection than there is now,
Nor any more heaven or hell than there is now."

#7 - "Clear and sweet is my soul . . . . and clear and sweet is all that is not my soul."

#8 "I believe in you my soul . . . . the other I am must not abase itself to you,
And you must not be abased to the other.
Loafe with me on the grass . . . . loose the stop from your throat,
Not words, not music or rhyme I want . . . . not custom or lecture, not even the best,
Only the lull I like, the hum of your valved voice. "

#9 - "What do you think has become of the young and old men?
And what do you think has become of the women and children?
They are alive and well somewhere;
The smallest sprout shows there is really no death,
And if ever there was it led forward life, and does not wait at the end to arrest it,
And ceased the moment life appeared.
All goes onward and outward . . . . and nothing collapses,
And to die is different from what any one supposed, and luckier. "

#10 - "To behold the daybreak!
The little light fades the immense and diaphanous shadows,
The air tastes good to my palate."

I feel like I cheapen Whitman by quoting him, and that's the last thing that I want to do, so I will stop now. You can read the whole 1855 edition online, if you have the heart for it.

PS Ok, last one

"I believe in the flesh and the appetites;
Seeing, hearing, feeling, are miracles, and each part and tag of me is a miracle.
Divine am I inside and out, and I make holy whatever I touch or am touch’d from;
The scent of these arm-pits, aroma finer than prayer;
This head more than churches, bibles, and all the creeds."
