-the transactions tab isnt copying properly.. in my journal i have the transactions completely empty and deleted all empty rows. when i import to new journal it resets it to the way a fresh journal has it.

vvhg View Post
This is expected. but the transactions should be $0. I have done that to protect the structure of the table.

so is this bad to do? to clear it completely i mean? does it mess the journal up in some way?

dont believe anything you hear and only half of what you see

something is getting transferred with the decimal option because when you see the newly imported journal and are on the overview tab, you have the option to 'show decimal places'(even tho they are supposed to be enabled from the import), if you click it, it doesnt do anything, and then if you click it again the decimals show up.. something to do with the button im thinking..

Will fix that, it should be the button text not changing...could that be?

ok here is an issue i hadnt brought up cuz i havnt really spent much time on these tabs, but i noticed that after an import on a fresh journal this 'pivot table field list' would pop out on the pivot table tab. and now its popping up a run time again:

and here is the debug:

That looks strange, what do I have to do to reproduce?

yes, it messes up that table, but not the rest I think, but I prevented deleting all rows now...

the same process when reproducing the decimal place bug: 3.0 -> beta 40.. seems to only be happening when i import from a 3.0 journal.. it also continues to happen when i go one step further, as long as the original data came from 3.0.. so something like this: 3.0 -> beta 40 -> beta 40a..

so if i remove all the sample data and migrate to a new journal, the sample data will show up again by design?

Yes, but as all sample data is $0 it has no influence whatsoever.

Some bugfixes here and there..
Added account balance on Time Period Statistics tab (only first year has it, if it's good this way the other years get it also).

@petrmac, were you able to narrow down a bit what exactly gets broken by the import so I can code a fix...

also my yearly totals are not matching up.. so im guessing that everything else on the time period stats tab is off as well.. ive only really looked at the structure and user experience of it, and not really crunched the numbers to check the accuracy of the new tab..
