Yep, user input field. You can set the starting account balance for the monte carlo manually.

What it is:
The Monte Carlo engine randomly selects a specified number trades from your journal (the pivot table on the left, can also be filtered) and builds a 'new trades collection' from them. This is done 50 times. It can give you an idea of profitability and drawdowns.

would it be good to have it pull the starting account balance from the overview page?

Not really, no, because you should be able to filter the trades and just simulate based on a segment of your journal eg. using trades # 147-438 in that case it would sometimes be handy to use the account balance as of trade # 147....

That's the theory...

There is no readme (yet). But just ask what ever you want to know....I could also use that to start a readme...

i think it would be cool to have a page in the journal where it breaks down the entire year by weeks and then months.. this way its not just for the entire year.. also, what about multiple years in the journal? or do you just start a new journal? if thats the case how do you compare years..?

Months would be possible....Weeks would be rather complex..... I think that would be easier accomplished with a database, but I don't know anything about databases....
