Webinar: Recordkeeping and Trade Performance Analysis w/FuturesTrader71
It is my pleasure to welcome back Morad Askar (aka @FuturesTrader71) for a webinar on Thursday, May 18th @ 4:30PM Eastern US.
The title for this webinar is "The Role of Recordkeeping and Trade Performance Analysis", and bullet points include:
- What does your record tell me about you?
- What metrics are worth tracking?
- Examples of performance analysis on live traders
- Why is your trading record crucial to your goals?
- The performance feedback cycle
- Don’t trade without goals!
I'm really looking forward to this one. I've been keeping a full record of my trading by recording everything to YouTube, but I think I need better ideas on what to look for when I review my videos/records so that I can integrate changes.
Loved it, needed to go over it. All stuff that I know but haven't made the total commitment to. The gap between dreams and reality is nitty gritty hard work and time. Good record keeping is a keystone part of that for me. Thanks Mike and Terry and Morad for the webinar.
I'm a little confused about BSO%. I understand the concept of BSO, but is the BSO% a calculation of how many times the trader scaled out? If so, how would someone's BSO% decrease if they held their remaining position for a longer period of time? Suppose out of 10 trades I scaled out on every one of them and my BSO for the first three trades is 5 while my BSO for the last seven trades is 3, would my BSO% still be 100% because I scaled out of all 10 trades? FT71 discusses this from 25:35-30:55.
