Looks like there might be a silver lining to this dark cloud. I captured the following screen clip from www.markdouglas.com

Looking forward to seeing what new products he finished!

Yeah, same with me.

It's unfortunate that it takes something like this to put life into perspective. Sometimes I get so lost in the day to day, I don't stop to be thankful for how truly blessed I am.

Super sad to learn of this news. I was fortunate enough to meet him at a seminar in 2012. Very tender human being. I could perceive from him a unique sensitivity. He is/was a believer in intuition with regard to trading and spoke a lot about it. As a result for his instruction I find intuition my most valuable quality in my trading.

During the seminar he spoke about how incredibly difficult it is for him to write and never wanted to become a writer. He said he would agonize over every sentence, and had to choose just the right words. At a very deep level he wanted to help people even though writing was not necessarily his thing he suffered thought it in order to reach and help more traders. I spoke to Mark regarding writing and offered my father-in-law's help as a sort of writers group. My father-in-law is a child psychologist and writer who lives near Mark Douglas and is in a number of writing groups. Mark took down the information with pen and paper and was genuine about it.

Dear Mark Douglas,

Now that the cage of the soul is broke take flight and speed forth into infinity to your new abode and higher level of existence. Death to this world is birth to the next realm. Very honored to have had the opportunity to meet you sir.

Below is Mark and I in Chicago 2012.

Life is short and unpredictable...
"Trading in the zone" has a unique space in my bookshelf as well as my learning path of trading.
Thanks for bringing us great knowledge!

My condolence to Mark and his family.

Very sad to hear the loss. I have read his two books and listened to his seminar over and over many times. I lost count. The more you read the more you can learn from him. A great teacher.

I met Mark and Paula at a workshop in AZ. He liked to just come over to the Hotel and hang out. He only spoke at the workshop one time over a 4 to 5 year period but he blew the attendies away with what he spoke on. Later Mark,Paula and I became good friends. He was a special guy. He will be missed.

I did see that he finished his 3rd book before passing. He had been working on it for many years. I can't wait to read it if it is published.

Such a big loss for the trading/speculating community. My deepest condolences to Mark's family.

Douglas and Steenbarger are my most favorite authors, with unmatched, brilliant originality. I learn so much from them.

Rest in peace, my true Teacher...
