Mediocrity results when we operate inside our comfort zone. This is part of our survival mechanism, to draw boundaries and operate in an environment that is perceived as safe. Greatness happens when we are willing to step out of the comfort zone and face the fears. On Dr Hawkins scale of consciousness, Angst is the stage where one is willing to challenge the status quo. It is above Apathy and Fear where one is retired in the comfort zone with no conscious effort to effect meaningful changes. Once you develop the courage to face the fears and learn to manage the discomforts, awareness enhances and life will result from the conscious choices we make. When we operate at lower frequencies, our actions are mostly automatic, we resort to pre-programmed emotional responses. This is true with trading and every other decisions we make in life.

Dr David Hawkins came up with the scale of consciousness. I found his books interesting and techniques like "The Sedona Method" , "Emotion Code" etc mentioned elsewhere in the forum essentially are very similar to the work of Dr Hawkins.

On Hawkins scale of consciousness 200 is termed as a critical turning point as one develops the courage to face the fears and move higher. Human beings operating below 200 are not effectively contributing to the society, vast majority of human population today operate below this critical level. But the collective consciousness is around 208 as humans with higher vibration compensate for lower ones - as per Dr Hawkins.
Please note these levels are not static. There will be various aspects of your life vibrating at different level of consciousness. If you develop awareness of your body, feelings and emotions, you will start feeling these vibrational levels. Have you noticed how you feel when you experience fear or wake up from a horrible dream, the chill in your body ? or how you feel when you are angry ? or how you feel after a heart touching experience ?. Body has tremendous intelligence and once you develop awareness of your body , its sensations and feelings, you will have a better chance of managing them and not resorting to the automatic emotional responses.
