Just brought the kids 9 and 8 to a new Montessori school today to check it out. And they loved it and so do we a ton. They have a kitchen and a chef that teaches cooking. They offer Mandarin German Spanish Latin. Too much to get into.... catered lunches is included. Even for the parents a former Bears football pro offer fitness classes for the parents in the school gym. Their current Montessori school has had a 2 years streak of 2 bad teachers so attendance has taken a huge hit for the school. This year at their school is much better because their old teacher came back from retirement to help the school out but only for 1 year. But there is still way to few kids to have a rich dynamic environment. Grades 1-6 only has 10 kids now and there are no 6 graders. Before all the bad stuff they had 2 sections lower and upper elementary. With great attendance numbers, but it is a small school to begin with. Total student body was about 80-90 kids but now is about 50-60 mostly kids age 3-6. Currently pay, for 2 kids/yr $18k but this new school for 2 kids is going to be $29k.

Do you happen to also be a Stay-at-Home parent?

Unfortunately no i'm not.

I don't have any kids but I hope to someday. actually this is why I would enjoy trading and that is to be able to have more time and freedom with my future family. I spent the last 7 years researching and reading with trying out different methods and strategies and finally narrowed it down to a couple that I like to use for long and short term. I understand the discipline and obstacles that come with trading and by in no way am I looking to get rich quick or anything of the sort. I treat this like a business just as any other individual would taking this serious. it wasn't until last june that I was able to implement what I had read and learned and found out the hard way that emotion is something that really needs to be checked at the door before you begin.

I mainly focus on the ES and ZB. trading in between 6:30 to 10:00 (depending on the movement of the market. mainly focusing on support and resistance levels. I don't use any indicators (never really learned on how to adjust them to a certain time frame) because I've never had any good results.

That's why I signed up onto futures.io to learn and chat with local traders to get some feedback. i'm not looking for a holy grail just trying to stay positive and motivated.

Thank You. I take that as a compliment. Do you still enjoy trading now as when you first started? also, when you first started and mentioned it to people, what did they think? its hard for people to grasp when I tell them what I'm doing because they automatically think I'm buying or selling stocks.

Increase the probability of Mike seeing this by using a mention.... Like this @Big Mike

But posting in this thread is really a poor way of communicating with Mike. Did you post in the chat for example?

Son threw up this morning in his bed at about 5:30am. I changed his bed for him and brought down the sheets and mattress pad after making up a new bed for him only to forget that the alarm was still on so I tripped a motion detector.... Wonderful...lol. Honestly it was like doing a community service because I think I woke up the alarm center guy that was lucky enough to "get" us as his call. Sounded like he was just woken up by having to work, like something from a Seinfeld episode, to take care of cancelling our false alarm...lol

Needless to say son is home sick. Daughter too with a bad sore throat and school camping trip next week.
