This makes me want to try a cup of fresh roasted coffee, although I don't have any qualms about coffee that's been sitting in the jar for a while. I never really noticed much of a difference.

I have tried this and it's utterly delicious with just a squirt or two into water but I have no idea how detrimental it is to one's health.(I know it's not as bad as redbull, monsters, and rockstar etc.) It has a very subtle sweet and sour flavor.

however, I feel like I have more familiarity, and perhaps a bit of nostalgia, for coffee in comparison but I know some people hate the taste.

I've heard of plenty of people working in demanding occupations say that keeping physically healthy makes them more alert and better focused. I think that's true, so basically my 2c is to try and eat well and keep physically fit. And I guess caffeine is ok in a pinch.

Freshly roasted coffee tasted so good, if you drink that for awhile you'll struggle to go back to instant. I used to have a coffee roaster near my house who would serve freshly roasted coffee every day.

Here's the latest trend- adding "grass fed" butter to your coffee. Sounds crazy but it actually tastes good. Getting energy from healthy fats is arguably better than getting it from carbs aswell.

All that talk about coffee in the morning made me wake up with a coffee craving....I gave in today.....but not until after a healthy slug of water first.......I can feel the effect on my heart rate....bad move today......but oh man does it taste good!!

Can a cup of joe help you earn those big bucks? I'd like to know whether or not you think coffee helps or hurts your trading. I've heard pit traders say it's best to get a good night's sleep, a decent breakfast, and some coffee before trading but I'd also like to know if screen traders feel the same way in the relaxation of their own homes.

Here's an interesting clip I found

If you do drink caffeine before trading what is your preferred type of drink and how much do you consume throughout the day?

If you don't drink caffeine is there anything else you do to wake yourself up?
like eating an apple

This is bogus.

Right at the start of the video, the 'researcher' announces he's a fan of caffeine.

So basically, he's looking to confirm his bias.

Which he does.

See how well that works in trading.

I am a coffee drinker - but really, this is nonscience.

Maybe he's concerned about memory loss or he simply doesn't know since he's more or less addicted to coffee. Perhaps he does benefit from great memory due to coffee intake and wants to prove it. Nonetheless a John Hopkins study wouldn't confirm the benefits of memory retention just because one guy likes to drink a lot of coffee.
