- Characteristics of Successful Traders
- Undercontrolled vs. Overcontrolled Trading
- Patterns of Poor Trading
- Common Behavioral Triggers
- Diffusing and Managing Problems
- Maximizing Strengths

This is a very special webinar for me, as Dr. Brett was instrumental in making me a better trader.
I would like to ask for your help -- please spread the word about this webinar. It is my strong belief that others should pay close attention to trading psychology and what Dr. Brett has to say, it will be of huge benefit to them and their trading.
So please post about this webinar and together we can help more traders.
Webinars on futures.io (formerly BMT) are always recorded and posted in the webinar section next day.

Reminder for tomorrow's epic webinar, and also a reminder to join the webinar session early (at least 30 minutes early) to ensure you can get in and not hit the 500 person limit.
Excellent and will be one of those which I will make a point of re-watching.
One thing in particular which I think made a lot of sense was that no amount of psychological work will make you profitable if you don't truly have an edge. Therefore early on it is perhaps not a bad thing to spend more time on methodology than psychology.
However once you have a methodology with a defined edge, psychology becomes critical. At that point you need to be very careful to not continue making constant methodology changes and tweaks. Dont continue down the rabbit hole of never ending analysis and rule changes. The real work at that point is following your plan and why this becomes a performance endeavor reliant on psychology.
I also like the points Dr. Brett made about building on existing strengths and making your trading more of who you already are. Spot on!
Diversification is the only free lunch

Haven't been posting lately but this webinar is really high value, forget about indicators and focus on what Dr. Brett Steenbarger has to say, it's not about doing but about beeing.
Thank you Mike (and Gary)

I have now heard from everyone, and have sent the book winner details to Dr. Brett. He will be mailing them out. Please allow several weeks for this process.
Want to say a special thanks to @steenbab for the webinar. I have his books and regularly read his excellent blog, which I was thrilled he started posting to regularly again this year. Kudos to him for distilling down some complex topics into something that laypeople (not trained in the field of psychology) can practically implement. Also, kudos for harmonizing both the importance of understanding and having an edge in markets and the importance of behavior on implementing that edge successfully.

Great Webinar sir! Really enjoyed it. I read your book, "The Psychology of Trading" last year and found it a "foundation" for trading! It really helped with me with my issues during trading! A GREAT BOOK and worth every penny!
Thanks again for helping us traders with mind trips!
Sorry computer is running slow today, and the video link seemed to be not working. I thought I edited this post and wrote nevermind, but I guess that didn't go through. Thanks for checking back, sorry for the waste of time lol.
Really enjoyed this webinar - thanks very much! Although not so pertinent to this webinar, I am very interested in Dr. Brett's biofeedback device usage for helping to become more relaxed and focused while trading. I am wondering if any members have used the Emwave or similar device and if so, if they found it helpful in improving their physiological state. Any feedback would be much appreciated as I am considering purchasing it.
