I can't tell for sure do I have ADD or not, most likely I do. I can easily be distracted. But I can't sit like 5-6 hours straight coding stuff, watching charts, etc. So I spent even more with wasting my time on reddit/youtube. I can't fight it. But sometimes I have some kinda rush when I do some work in 2-3 hours that couldn't do in a week. Man, brain is a funny thing.

I get an idea, backtest it, feeling that this is finally my suitable strategy and then some loosing trades appear. And i know this is totally normal, but i can't deal with it and decide to move on

You don't skip system because you're bored but rather when losestreak comes, right? I don't think it has something to do with ADHD. Low self-esteem? Wrong attitude with money (if it's real account)? Think about it

If here are any traders suffering from ADHD/ ADD please share your learning routes with me.
  • Did you use audio books instead of paper books?
  • Did you hyperfocus on specific Instruments?
  • How did you stimulate your short term rewarding system of the long route of learning how to trade?
  • What pitfalls might be there for an ADHD/ ADD trader?

I have schizophrenia and one of the symptoms is difficulty thinking and lack of motivation which may or may not be similar to ADHD. I just focus on a goal and my actions kind of lead up toward that goal I have in mind. Like if I want to read a book, I focus on the goal of making money and supporting myself financially with trading and reading a book becomes a piece of the goal. That is how I did things, hope I haven't gone too far off track.

Hi @Pusteblume,

Please only post in English in the English-language sections of the forum, so that others who have no German can understand and respond.

There is a German-language section that you can use if you prefer.

Thanks.

Bob.
