Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

What visualizations to you use when you see yourself being materially abundant?

I am looking for people to share their visualizations of abundance.

What visualizations to you use when you see yourself being materially abundant?
How do you color these visualizations with emotion?
Do you include a visualizatioin of yourself trading with ease and perfection?

Other ideas?

Thanks in advance.

Quick Summary
Quick Summary Post

The thread started as a request for others to share their visualizations. I had thought that perhaps 30 or 40 would post actual examples of:
visualizations they use
visualizations they have found on the net that they liked especially visualizations of great traders

"I am looking for examples other traders use for material abundance and examples of trading excellence."

(I created a summary to help me review the thread and also for new readers. This post is editable and open to all to add and delete to - so add your bits - fix the table of contents etc. As threads are fragmented bits (comments) anyone can add in their summary of their take-a-way of thread. )

Answer
This post has been selected as an answer to the original posters question Answer

Futures Edge on FIO
Sometimes day dreaming of perfectly timed deep OTM options, going through on all the winners called, with none of the losers. Replaying history with hindsight doesn't seem like a very good answer - so interested in hearing others.

I stay grounded in expectations based on my circumstance - maybe it's limiting.

not an example

I looked on the net for examples - I guess I'm not very good with the search engines.
Perhaps others can look as well. There has to be some traders who have posted their
visualizations.

Here is someone's idea of the process

(I have attached an RTF - I guess not - a doc file then)

Good trading to everyone.

There doesn't seem to be a thank-you button on the thread so thanks for contributing

That's because you set this thread up as a "Ask a Question" thread from the home page.

So those big huge banners you are seeing on every post saying "Does this post answer your question", you need to click one of them to select a post as an answer before you can use the thanks button.

Mike

Due to time constraints, please do not PM me if your question can be resolved or answered on the forum.

Need help?
1) Stop changing things. No new indicators, charts, or methods. Be consistent with what is in front of you first.
2) Start a journal and post to it daily with the trades you made to show your strengths and weaknesses.
3) Set goals for yourself to reach daily. Make them about how you trade, not how much money you make.
4) Accept responsibility for your actions. Stop looking elsewhere to explain away poor performance.
5) Where to start as a trader? Watch this webinar and read this thread for hundreds of questions and answers.
6)

NP - almost deleted - not much of a contribution. The clip I found on visualizations didn't seem like a good representation - but seems crazy enough to possibly help (whatever works). Should have just waited for Wildman's follow up.

Yup on the OTM. Catch up with you soon.
