Vision without action is merely a dream.

Action without vision just passes the time.

Vision with action can change the world.

The mind never becomes tired, but sometimes it becomes bored with the “food” it gets.

Computer experts use the acronym gigo — garbage in, garbage out — to illustrate the fact that the computer can process only the information it is given. The same is true with your mind. If you feed it healthful, nourishing “food,” it will grow strong and agile, but if you restrict it to a regular diet of mental “junk food,” your mind will become unhealthy, negative, and unproductive. It will return to you what you put into it. Feed your mind a balanced, nourishing diet. Study information from a variety of fields to help you keep up with the latest trends. You may find that the best ideas for your business come from a totally unrelated area.

Sound character begins with keen self-respect.

No one really knows for sure how we develop self-respect, but the experts believe it begins at a very early age. Parents who show their children that they love them unconditionally — just because they are who they are — build a foundation of healthy self-respect that will sustain the children for the rest of their lives. From this foundation comes the moral and ethical structure known as character. Healthy self-respect should not be confused with egotism. An egotist loves himself for the most superficial of reasons, while a self-respecting person takes pride in qualities of character that he or she has worked hard to develop.

Far too many people spend their entire lives waiting for that glorious day when the perfect opportunity presents itself to them.

Too late, they realize that each day held opportunity for those who sought it out.

If you have not formulated a plan for what you would like to accomplish in your life, don’t waste another minute. When you have Definiteness of Purpose fueled by a burning desire to reach your objectives, nothing can stand in your way. Don’t wait around waiting for life to happen to you.

When you know what you want and how you expect to earn it, life will agree to your terms.

Willpower is the outgrowth of definiteness of purpose expressed through persistent action, based on personal initiative.

Success occurs when you have a definite purpose for your life and you take the initiative to follow through with action.

Ep5

min 10

Most people set goals on the A level. Why? They don't want to fail.
Failing is a part of winning, but most people don't know that.
Why don't we want to fail?
It comes from our childhood.

baby - they are going to fall but they are also going to get up and keep on going.
Setting goals where we don't fail means not growing.

"They want to be realistic when they set goals.
You've gotta be realistic, you can't have all A's

Yes. you can have all A's.
We are God's highest form of creation."

If you look hard enough, you can always find reasons for not attempting something.

Successful people set goals. Where others see despair, they see hope.

They approach every situation with enthusiasm, confident in the knowledge that nothing is impossible for those who have a Positive Mental Attitude.

Psychologists have correctly said that “when one is truly ready for a thing, it puts in its appearance.”

You will find as you go through life that those who give advice most freely are precisely the individuals who are least qualified to do so. Who told you it couldn’t be done, and what great achievements has he performed that qualified him to set up limitations for you?

Mediocre people have all the time in the world. They also delight in seeing you fail, and are quick to say “I told you so” when you experience a temporary setback.

If someone tells you that what you are attempting to achieve is impossible or not worth the effort, take a close look at them and what they have accomplished with their lives.

The chances are good that you will find they haven’t done much.

Successful people are optimistic people. Busy, successful people don’t have an interest in telling you how to live your life. They are busy living their own. They have the habit of success because they learned long ago to listen to themselves and not to those who would like to see them fail.

I was thinking about the power of beliefs.

A friend was very happy with a Thermos they had purchased as it keeps their coffee piping hot for several hours.
In a burst of enthusiasm and generosity they offered to buy me one one as a gift.

Well I don't use aluminum or stainless steel (Alzheimer's and prostate cancer). But then that is my belief.
One the person replied "Ok now you've got me worried" I realized my mistake. If I was thinking more clearly I should have said: "I just use glass".

I went then said "But that's just theory not proven" to mollify what I had said.

Though it can be argued what might or might not help cause an ailment or cancer one thing, for me, is clear--
beliefs are very powerful

both for good or bad.

To the woman who touched his cloak, Jesus said: "Your faith has healed you. Go in peace."
Ford "If you believe a thing is possible or if you believe it is impossible you are most likely right."

The aluminum might not cause Alzheimer's but the worry has a very good chance of causing it. It very important to be careful what we say and how we say it.

Words have power.
