I think it's safe to say you can make a good 50k a day scalping with lets say 15-20 trades without moving the market (that is to say you can maintain that profitability). All you have to do to make a million a year is make 4000 a day on each of the 250 days the stock market is open. I don't know where the threshold is for how much money per trade will move a futures instrument, but I think 30-50 contracts per trade is reasonable. I know 50k is an arbitrary number, but that would make 12500000 a year which is more than enough for anyone who isn't trying to buy the world's biggest yacht. If you had over 100m under management I'd definitely say you probably want to go in on a hedge-fund and diversify. At that point you'll be able to hang out with the billionaires in Monte Carlo
