Welcome to futures.io.

Welcome, Guest!

This forum was established to help traders (especially futures traders) by openly sharing indicators, strategies, methods, trading journals and discussing the psychology of trading.

We are fundamentally different than most other trading forums:
  • We work extremely hard to keep things positive on our forums.
  • We do not tolerate rude behavior, trolling, or vendor advertising in posts.
  • We firmly believe in openness and encourage sharing. The holy grail is within you, it is not something tangible you can download.
  • We expect our members to participate and become a part of the community. Help yourself by helping others.

You'll need to register in order to view the content of the threads and start contributing to our community. It's free and simple, and we will never resell your private information.

I am just glad we all get to trade

It is a tough business and can take its toll emotionally and financially if not careful. But glad we all get a chance to participate and make our own way. Odds are against it but those who put in the work can forge a real business. That business allows for freedom from having to do things for someone else. You get to do it for yourself and your family. You don't have to spend your life serving the dreams of someone else but can make your own.

We all do things differently and have different view points about the best way to do it. I enjoy the mechanical vs discretionary debate on the board and personally have some strong opinions. But fact we all get to try it the way we want to try it is a gift.

Opportunity does not always equal success but I am thankful for the opportunity

"The day I became a winning trader was the day it became boring. Daily losses no longer bother me and daily wins no longer excited me. Took years of pain and busting a few accounts before finally got my mind right. I survived the darkness within and now just chillax and let my black box do the work."
