I have to laugh a little.. both cars and roller blades perform the required task, that is - get you from point A to B... but it comes down to how you want to get there, or what one requires to get there.

let's keep in mind that the OP is looking for a charting platform (but then again, there are no clear requirements, which is why I said that he needed to figure out what he wanted or needed first) ... second, commercial add-ons dont make a charting platform great.. third, a DOM does not make a charting platform great (e.g. X-Trader has charting, yet it is not the reason why people use XT)... third, when trading, who needs to load historical greater than 2 days? .. fourth... a large user base does not make a product great... case in point large user base with NT and yet the company ignores their users a lot, or even tradestation.. either way, lots of users is not always the only driving factor IMO.... and last, but not least... you are correct about the backtesting/scripting/custom indis.. but as I said, OP should evaluate whatever platforms based on what he needs..

I used QuoteTracker for a while, but it only is a nice little toy. You would not really want to compare cars and rollerblades.

QuoteTracker has no DOM, no Chart trader, no Scripting Language, no backtesting, no custom indicators, no commercial add-ons, no large user base. The free version can only load 2 days of intraday data. You better had not mentioned it here.
