Hey fellow Traders

I offer my full Jigsaw daytradr platform for sale ($579 version), asking price is $434 - 75% of original.

Officially, the license is non-transferable, which only means, the username will stay the same - otherwise Jigsaw is not against the move (obviously, because if I don't use it, I will never be subscribed for live trading. The change is not hurting their business, it's good for them, too).

I'm happy to bring in any respected member of the forum as a 3rd party, if you wish so.

Feel free to ask questions and send your interest as a reply or in PM.

You should understand that in many cases, software vendors will deactivate copies of software that are sold to other parties, and the potential buyer should be aware of this as well, as they could end up with inoperable software for their money.

Hey Bob, thanks for the insight.

To make it more transparent, I will send email to Peter / Jigsaw support to have their blessings on this current case. If they don't, I will delete this thread. Thanks.

Just for context: Here in Europe, re-selling of software and software licences is fully legal. If the software vendor was to do that, they'd be breaking the law.

There is also precedent in the USA that says that re-selling of software and software licences is legal (and that preventing it via EULA is not)

@Mindgames - given that you're from the UK, this is the relevant piece of text:

https://ec.europa.eu/commission/presscorner/detail/en/CJE_12_94

> An author of software cannot oppose the resale of his ‘used' licences allowing the use of his programs downloaded from the internet

I believe this is correct, although I am no lawyer nor an expert on the subject.

The point was simply that there may be issues with the software provider. You may then act however you decide. But there is some potential for problems, which the user would then have to work out with the vendor if they arise. (And there may be none.)

This is meant as an 'FYI" type of comment only.
