"As of February 12, 2021, We no longer will be accepting or processing any deposits or withdrawals via any Money Transferring Services.
Here is an example list of types Money services that we will NOT accept:
Transferwise
Revolut
XE Money Transfers
Currency Fair
OFX
N26
And any other non-listed Money Transfer Services.
Reason: The amount of time and effort to receive the required verification documents to process the deposits or withdrawals is not worth it. Too much time and focus being spent on these payment types.
We will continue to accept and processes the following:
Deposits: Wire, ACH, Checks (US banks only) and Transfers from another Brokerage.
Withdrawals: Wire, ACH and Transfers to another Brokerage."
How can we fund or deposit as a non-us resident who wants to avoid the traditional bank high fees?
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I have opened an account with AMP futures too and now want to fund it.
As it says on their website a sepa transfer in EUR is possible to:
Beneficiary Bank: Barclays Bank PLC – United Kingdom
Beneficiary Bank SWIFT Code: BARCGB22
Beneficiary Account Name: AMP Global Clearing
Beneficiary IBAN Account Number: GB59BARC20000069289022
Remittance/Memo: YOUR AMP TRADING ACCOUNT NUMBER
My bank converts EUR automatically into the currency of the target country, that may be a problem with a UK based account.
Has anyone from EU here opened and funded an account with AMP and can explain how to handle this?
First they overcharged commission than what they agreed and it took more than 2 weeks to refund that $2.
It took too many phone calls and emails to get my $2 back.
Talking about phone …
Or create a new thread about your specific problem.
For opening an account with them you have to identify same way as with opening bank accounts, ID/SMS/online or offline verification. You can save money there as with any bank but in virtually any currency, you have an int. debit card, you can set up even a US bank account. First transfer of money to TransferWise has to be made from another valid bank account of your own, on your name, like you have to do funding a brokerage account.
To me this is about automatization of the funding/defunding process as the minimal cost overhead invites to do more transactions and cash in/out more often. AMP never had the payout process, via TransferWise for example, in their online form (to my knowledge). They did it by individual e-mail with the accounting departement.
