Just reaching out to ask if anyone has come across a platform that allows the inclusion of time gaps in price action.

So when trading stops on a Friday the first opening print always occurs directly next to the close of the week in all the platforms I have seen. The time gap created by the weekend is compressed.

I'm looking for a platform that DOESN'T do this, or it has an option to toggle the inclusion of weekend time gaps on the horizontal axis.

The idea being a continual flow of time on the bottom, no matter if the market is trading or not.

Has anyone ever come across a way of doing this? If so which platform allows it/

Any help or advice, much appreciated.

Wave59 does this easily. You can configure your chart with trading days or calendar days.

My experience has been with TradeStation and MultiCharts. But, neither one insert bars for weekend or holidays.

Can you code your way around the missing bars?
