I like NinjaTrader but it is a bit slow for some things.. I haven't tried the orderflow and related premium tools but have tried a lot of 3rd party tools.

Anyhow, NinjaTrader is great but one thing it is not good at is flipping between charts quickly.

Data and indicators take noticeable time to load when switching a linked instrument on a bunch of charts.

I was wondering what good platforms are out there, with a good selection of footprint and delta tools, that can switch really quickly between several contracts.

What I mean is I like to have my charts set up for viewing just one contract's charts at any given time but be able to switch between them quickly while the market is active and not have to wait around for things to load.

Any suggestions? I know sierra chart should be good at this but I'm not a big fan. Multicharts I find confusing, I've installed it many times but find dealing with data feeds and symbols with it confusing.

have you tried CTRL + TAB to switch faster

they were supposed to be working on a hotkey for switching charts

that's not the problem.. the problem is the loading that happens after switching... like if I linked a bunch of charts to say a market analyzer or market watch window and clicked on a contract there... if you use simple charts you won't notice it but if you have a bunch of indicators, often there is waiting involved. So I mean you'll know what I mean if you experience it but if not then you wouldn't

you could use less indicators
I technically have 5 on my chart and it runs great

I know but that's going to increase my ram usage too much, NinjaTrader is not the best when it comes to resource usage.

maybe if you told us exactly what indicators your using that is slowing things down we might be able to help a little more

but if you're having a RAM problem you might want to look at optimizing your computer or upgrading
