Fellow Traders,

I wanted to know your thoughts about the Volume Profile tool on TradeStation. Is it decent? Or would you categorize it as poor and inaccurate?

If you are a Volume Profile Trader, would you use it?

Thanks in advance guys.

TradeStation does not have a VP tool. There are a few 3rd party indicators.

Did you ever get an answer to your VP question for TS? Are you using a 3rd Party VP indicator for TS?

I had someone show me how to get TS to show a decent VP.

Let me know what you are using or if you ever got a satisfactory answer to your post.

Hey thank you for your response,

No, I haven't found a solution for this problem. I'm not using any 3rd party VP indicator for TradeStation at the moment.

Would you mind sharing your way of successfully plotting VP on this platform?

Regards.

Good morning. I use the Activity Bar:Price Distribution indicator built in to TS.

I have used it on all timeframes from 15 min to monthly. The trick is in the formatting. I can email you the workspaces I use it on so you can see the formatting. If that is allowed. This is my first post in this forum so I'm not familiar with the rules on direct emails.

It took a lot of tweeking to get the indicator to work, but I am almost exclusively a VP trader and it works wonderfully with practice.

If direct emails are not allowed it would take a lot of effort to give you the individual setups, but I can start with a timeframe you would prefer and then you could tweek it from there.

Let me know.

Hi, I saw your post offering your Activity Bar:Price Distribution workspaces.
Thank you for the suggestion

I am also looking at a paid indicator that I found at

Good morning. I use the Activity Bar:Price Distribution indicator built in to TS.

I as well would really like to know more about how you're using ActivityBars. I've been frustrated and disappointed that TS lacks a simple built-in Volume Profile indicator, when most other platforms have one standard (ThinkOrSwim, Sierra, TradingView). There are paid options of course but I really feel this should be standard and I would rather have something where I understand how exactly it works and can even edit the code if desired.

Any input you would care to share here, is immensely appreciated. Thanks!
