Jigsaw Daytradr troubles

I'm unable to load the December contract (Z18) for, well, anything. Unable to download new contracts in through the "symbol download" function: It just hangs on "contacting CME" (or words to that effect).

Anyone else having this difficulty?

That's an odd one - best thing to do is skype me on id "JigsawTrading" and I'll do a screen share (or one of the Jigsaw support staff will).

CQG did change their feed to support 2 digit year codes & we released a patch for that last week - but this sounds like a different issue - so let's see if we can sort it out for you.

fwiw, I'm running the latest version of DayTradr with IQ Feed. But the problem was there with the earlier version I was running as well: I updated just in case it would make a difference. Alas, it did not.

From what I can see - IQFeed instrument downloader is not working for CME.

All developers are in bed.

So that means I get to take a look... but to be honest, I love to dive back into the code anyway - so let me see if I can't work some magic...

Ok, found the problem: For whatever reason DayTradr's downloading function (at least with IQFeed) will not work if any other applications are drawing on IQFeed--eg, charting programs. Close those, reboot DayTradr and then download. Once that's finished you can pull whatever else you've got and you're good to go.

Are you using the spacebar after selecting the chart / ladder method?
