hello,
looking for recommendations on a reliable platform to execute options on futures. Concerned with filling orders, and closing them.
Background. I have used Thinkorswim for analysis for about 4 years now. I've started to get involved with options on futures (Back Ratio, Verticals, etc.). A colleague of mine, and I, have experienced 1-3 days delay on filling, and closing our options on futures.
Now, additional facts: they were executed in Paper Trading. My system has 32 GB RAM, and capable of running TOS< 2-3 MT4, NT8, VPS, Web browser, and work fine. SSD drive, btw. My background is a systems engineer/architect, so I consider myself a bit familiar with technology. In the past, we had filled and closed orders within a minute.
My concern is: when we have a Back Ratio option on /CL Crude Oil, and is in high profit, if in real account, it takes 1-3 days, it can be in the thousands in losses. Has anyone, had issues with TOS of this matter? Tech support, first balmed me, of not being knowledgeable, then my trading station, then my internet, otherwise, not a clue. When I complained, the next person, blamed my CPU, which btw is unlocked and high performance.
So, if you trade Options on futures, in a real account, not DEMO, and you have no issues executing orders, what platform are you using?
