Hi guys, does someone have CVD indicator for Bookmap in API format add-on (*.jar)? I didnt find it at github among the examples(
Im using BookMap 7 b40.

Hi,

dxFeed will offer NBBO shortly for Bookmap. I do not have a release date yet, but look for it soon. They are also going to soon offer market internals and equity indexes as well. This will be great to add as a correlation onto the Bookmap chart.

here is my 2nd and last suggestion.

I am also using the sierrachart platfrom to see the orderflow. I have some suggestion based on my experience on sierrachart. Bookmap has the own class , no doubt.

I have using this type of Chart which can "filter" the size in the dom . So it can give us and focusing on the specific size.

The chart below show the filtering size by "range" that can be set and has the specific color.

PINK: more than 400 Lot
RED: more than 300 Lot
BLUE: more than 150 Lot
Low: more than 100 Lot

For example: if the chart show the PINK color, we know that the size is between 300 to 400 Lot. We can zoom in to see the actual Lot.

I believe, this is very important INFORMATION for trader because the SIZE represent the smart money in the market. Although sometime they are using the iceberg order. at least we can see the "bigger picture" by filtering the lot and see the idea from it.

This filtering can give some idea on the auction behavior. Sometime i can see the "algo" behavior like shown below by filtering the SIZE in the market.

I can say this type of reading by filtering the Lot can give us some idea on the activity market.

i hope bookmap can give this feature.

Hi,

In Bookmap you can input the exact contracts or share sizes for the liquidity for the upper and lower threshold in the heatmap. See the attached image with an ES example.

In the image, the Lower Cut-Off is set to 20 contracts. Thus liquidity below 20 contracts will be painted gray and black (lower end of the heatmap spectrum).

The Upper Cut-Off is set to 60 contracts. Thus liquidity above 60 contracts will be painted orange and red (upper end of the heatmap spectrum).

All liquidity between 20 and 60 will automatically adjust to fill out the remaining heatmap spectrum of colors (yellow, white, blue, gray)

Hi, I do swing trading of futures holding positions for several days sometimes. The Bookmap website mentions that the software can be helpful for swing traders. Would it really be helpful in that kind of trading? I suppose it could help when entering / exiting the market but my perspective generally doesn't involve looking at anything using tick data.

It will be very nice to add a Real Time News, from Bloomberg or Reuters, or both, for upcoming Economics and Company releases, and breaking news. Also is it possible to see dark pool orders for futures and stocks?

I've documented your request for a news feed. It will be possible to access dark pool stock data shortly with the release of UDP data from dxfeed. Keep an eye out for it!

It's true in some stocks. It highly depends on where this stock is most traded. However, in some stocks Nasdaq Totalview alone is already quite useful as illustrated below.

Here is an unofficial storytelling about 1 hour of IBM price walking during last Friday.
Large orders in Market Depth appear orange on the Heatmap as the colormap on toolbar suggests.
Please don't take this trading strategy too seriously
