Hi everyone,

I'm about to open a live account.
I've been simulating on NT all the time (futures, but i'm interested in stocks too).

So, I would appreciate any advise about platforms and brokers (data suppliers).

Thanks,
Fidel

What is your starting capital and what futures products are you interested in? What is your style of trading (time frame, do you use the dom, etc.)?

Have you tried searching this forum? There are many many threads dedicated to everything you need information on.

The search function is very powerful but rarely used, which is a shame.

I'll investigate that way.

Interactive Brokers. Sierra Chart for your platform. Get the data package from Sierra Chart so that you are not using trash data from IB. It's a very cost effective way to trade through Interactive Brokers with good data.

firts at all, thanks for your time.
So, if I'm not wrong, you are saying that, for my profile, a good option would be Sierra Chart platform (instead of NT that I'm used to) and IB as a data supplier.

Right?

By the way, it's possible to have a sim account with IB?
And, Sierra Chart plaftorm requires a license?

Thanks

Sierra Chart has their own data feed you can subscribe to. He was suggesting you use Sierra's charting platform and data and clear your trades through Interactive Brokers.

"...clear your trades through IB"?
Sorry, I don't get it what is it.
All my knowledge involve NT platform and a sim account through CQG for data.
