Currently I'm testing the platform at home, looks very neat, depth of information is very deep and the terminal is rather user friendly.

Is there anybody else using it? What is your favorite feature?

Food for thought: if I were trying to sell you a BMW (good car, nothing to scoff at) for $22k, but you could also get a Porsche for just 4-5k more....why not just get the Porsche instead?

Dispensing with analogies, at that price point you're getting really, really close to just paying for a Bloomberg terminal. If you're trying to save the extra 400 per month, then you might as well try to save the entire 1,800 by aggregating the data from somewhere else.

Again, great platform by itself...but I would personally go with the industry standard that's the direct competition...but just my two cents...

I agree with this, I looked at EIKON vs my trusty BB terminal. I ended up sticking with the terminal, the cost savings was negligible, the excel API for BB is much better, and well I am personally more familiar with BB so i stuck to it.

I have used both terminals and lean more towards Bloomberg Professional. However, I found Eikon rather useful for foreign exchange related matters. Do note that you can significantly reduce the cost of the Eikon when you don't opt for the full package. Perhaps most importantly, what are you looking to accomplish with this 'new' tool?

Have any of you considered money.net? I've tried out the 14-day trial and liked it.
