Does anyone else wish that CTS had a "dark theme" or more color customization?
Trading platforms that have a dark color scheme instead of the white/light-gray-only theme that CTS has not only look better, but are also much easier on the eyes after staring at a wall of monitors for hours each day. I have tried messing with the color settings in CTS but that only gets you so far because the options are limited to basically the bid/offer columns, so it ends up looking bad anyway.
I'm hoping there are other users out there who might prefer a dark color scheme over the blinding white scheme they currently only support, and maybe this will get some attention from CTS to get them to offer it in a future update. See attachments for examples.
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I used CTS T4 for a couple of years and I always hated the blinding white appearance of most components on it, visually it needs an overhaul, but I did like their market profile, and its quite a simple and intuitive platform to set u and start trading with. They have a great feed, never goes down, my biggest problem with them is the extra $1 per RT they charge in addition to the platform fee. If they brought that down to industry norms they might get a lot more customers
You can route CTS data via Sierra at a lower routing fee. If you like the data feed and it's stability, this is something you can consider.
Thank you,

Yes, but then you have to pay an extra data fee with Sierra, since you are using Sierra data and CTS for execution only.
A nice thing about the CTS/Sierra combo is that you can use both at the same time with the same feed, If I can't sort out my current issues with CQG I will be going back to this
That is absolutely correct, but at the same time, the reason for this is because Sierra prefers to support it's own data for technical reasons. After talking to SC for months about this, they are of the opinion this makes this solution stable for traders and helps them resolve things faster in case there are issues.

yes, there is a SC cost for data and CME/Eurex, etc.
I just spoke to my staff and they are working now to create a pricing page for CTS+SC routing execution. Yhis will make it all clear. We are thinking where could we give customers some breaks as well according to their volume.

To get back on topic, I don't use CTS myself but when I see others using CTS and other platforms in my office it looks similar to this...
...Except the effect is multiplied because there are often multiple monitors. I'm not sure how people can sit in front of that all day without getting a sunburn. When creating programs like these it would be nice if developers would default to a dark color scheme instead of a whitewashed look that can be seen from space, or at least patch in the option for those who want it.
Agreed, I find the most pleasing tones to look at all day are dark blues and grays, all white charts and everything else is like looking into a light bulb all day, even with brightness turned way down
