Do you know of a good offline charting software?

Hello,

I am just starting and I don't need much at the moment to get familiarized with the trading tools.

I was mainly to focus on stocks to start with. Do you know of a good Offline Charting Software that I could install on my windows computer, download the End of Day figures on my hard drive and then be able to analyze charts whilst I am commuting on my train?

I'd like one where one can easily and automatically import indices, lists of tickers (rather than typing each stock individually) and a way to get the end of day data. If possible from google or yahoo finance as they offer those details free, so I didn't want to start having many costs whilst I'm still learning the basics.

Many thanks...

I found it and I've been having a look, but as far as I can see, that's a platform that works totally online from the web?

I need something that I can install locally on a computer and keep on using without internet connection... I've not found anything yet.

Futures Edge on FIO
Try NinjaTrader - it is free when not submitting orders, has End of Day free feed, you can import tickers list and link charts to Market Analyzer -> quickly switch between instruments

Why not NinjaTrader with a simulation license and the Kinetick end of day data feed which is setup by default?
That's exactly what you need, I don't see why @eone didn't though about it.

TradingView is the opposite as you'll need a browser and an Internet connection.

Sorry my bad. I misread the entire thing. I thought the ask was for an online charting software. I missed the "off" part.
Having said that, how is NT an offline software?

I'll have a look at Ninja trader and see how one can import lists, indices, etc...

If someone can think about some other ones that could be worth trying, pleas let me know as I don't mind installing a few to see which one would be easier to learn and use whilst offline.

Thanks guys!

Do you know if I need to do something specific to have it working offline?
I've installed it, created a list with a few tickers, then gone to Historical Data Manager and downloaded the data for those stocks, but if I then go offline and try to load a chart, I keep on getting this error on a pop-out window and the chart stays blank:
"Error on loading chart data: Error on requesting historical data: A socket operation was attempted to an unreachable host"

Thing is that the data is already downloaded, so not sure why it's even trying to connect anywhere?

Thanks, this looks pretty good, although if it's priced at $90/monthly, it might be too much for starting...
