Just got an email from AMP Futures advising of the release of this new trading software. HTML5 and browser based.
Not just charting, includes the ability to trade.

Seems as though AMP are feeding it with CQG, but not sure who is behind the software or if AMP have developed it themselves (or had it developed for them).

Based on their website material it seems pretty impressive - huge range of bar types and out of the box indicators. But also says it comes with some proprietary language that makes it easy to code your own indicators.

I have been using TradingView for a while now.

Pretty cheap option as a standalone data/charting solution.

Had a couple of bugs so far but they were quickly corrected, they keep improving multiple aspects.

Loving it so far.

Cheers,

Are you using it via AMP?

Who is behind the s/w ie is it AMP's own s/w or from a 3rd party?

You can see it on the Tradingview website at the bottom where it states "presented by Multicharts". As far as I am aware the founders of Multicharts (at least some) also founded Tradingview, but the development team behind it is different.

Regards,

ABCTG

The *AMP* version seems to have less features. The list of available indicators, for instance, is supposed to contain VWAP, but it does not. Renko charts are not an option and the social aspects of the site are gone too, it seems. Anbyone else experiencing the same?

That's a shame. I think Cloud software is the way of the future, especially for the redundancy/disaster mitigation, plus server side orders.

I have not asked for a demo, but it would be a deal breaker for me if Renko and VWAP are out.

Not sure why they would remove them, as I thought the software was free (even from the TV own web site). Sure AMP and TV have probably worked together to link it to CQG feed and add the trading module, but why then remove features. Especially as there is no suggestion that you can upgrade to a paid version with all features.

I just noticed also,

Tradingview supplies the charts embedded in the CME Group's official website.

not too bad.

Cheers,

What's about privacy?

In what sense?

Do you mean because you are trading on their cloud not only can they see your orders, but they can see what charts you are using and therefore your setups?

Or are you talking about privacy in some other respect?
