Hi @mattz, I tried to log in tradingview by going to amp.tradingview.com with my CQG account. I noticed the script button is not there for me to load custom studies.

Per tradingview support, amp.tradingview.com is their trading terminal, which is a separate product. Pine Script editor is not available there.

This is disappointing. Are you aware of this?

If I go to their regular product, is there a way to log in with my CQG account?

Thank you

Yes, I am aware of this and it is not an hidden fact.
What you are looking at is a free platform which is execution only and has great charting capabilities.
The full version of TradingView is a paid version which allows you to use the entire programming capabilities
along with other features https://www.tradingview.com/gopro/ it starts at 9.95 so I think its worth the investment.

Thank you

Thanks for the clarification.

This is actually not entirely true. They have 4 regular versions : free, pro, pro +, and premium. Even the basic free version is enabled for pine script, there's no need to upgrade for the "full" version in order to use their programming script. (see here: https://www.tradingview.com/gopro/) That's why I'm disappointed they take away the script editor in the "trading terminal" version

Well, let me restate. As far as I know, anything is that capable of trading on TradingView with the combination of scripting requires a payment. But, I will raise this issue with TradingView and see what we can do for the community.

I remember when they start it and believed in this project. It's nice to see great work being recognized.

you make me log in again to see how great it is, it's supper annoying with popup ad and nagging screen to go "PRO".

I have been a customer for a while so I am not sure about these. Charting is truly one of the best visualizations I saw. Try the dark theme.

I originally added them just for a replica of the old cheap way to get the Breathalyzer Statistics like on eSignal

The matrix and a candlestick IDer script they have on there I like as--custom scripts along along with an IVR volatility indicator I use for exits to hang on to trades intraday.

Any updates on TradingView? It's something I'm considering at the moment. I have CQG data with AMP and I want to be able to use a custom indicator, so will I be able to use the FREE AMP version or will I need to become a paying member on the TradingView site?

If you use CQG, then you can log in via the CQG. I know with my broker I have actually to pay 10month to activate this.

You will have to pay for tradingview if I'm not mistaken to be able to use these capabilities. I know TradeStation is about to introduce a direct login and tradovate currently has one. There a little ahead of the game here with an inclusive package.
