I need help setting up Market Delta Trader & Charts. I have access to all of their FAQs, Knowledgebase, Help Manual, videos etc and it is TERRIBLE ! Anthony from MD even admitted that their info is not that great. Therefore, I need some assistance from an experienced user(s) please.
As part of my research for the upcoming "Where to start as a trader (Part II: Trading Platforms) (" webinar, I want to solicit input from members about the platforms they use.
If you could give me some information I would appreciate …
Feel free to ask more specific questions.

..unfortunately this video page has lost its original structure. They just moved all
made RT videos to the new website in no order. Old and new videos are mixed now.
Better to start on the getting started page mentioned above.

Oh my God ! Thank You for the links.....I learned more in their 10 minute video than I had in 2 days of Market Delta's videos and online documents. A world of difference between the two. Thank you again !
We made some videos about MD:

Hope this helps.

You are most welcome. In consideration of which platform you are choosing, try to go for the one which will give you trading and charting over one, otherwise you will have to support numerous feeds and software.
Of course there are the rare exceptions that you need a few, but even then try to connect them over one feed connecting them to one account.

I agree with you 1000%! Yes that is ONE THOUSAND PERCENT...
As bad as I want to use the Market Delta software their set up and configuration is complicated it frustrates the hell out of you before you even use the thing. I have a 14 day trial and I am on day 5 and I still have yet to use the tool to see how I could integrate it into my current trading strategy.
The tool in and of itself is very valuable but be prepared to take a while before you even get to use it on your trial run. They have a database of videos and manuals but they are so out of order that its not even useful.
I am not trying to destroy the character of the company. I am simply stating the obvious. They need to work on making the software more efficient . I don't want to spend 5 days on setting a tool up. First time I set up NT I was up and running in less than an hour.
We wold be more than happy to help you with MD and it's set up. Based on your feedback. we would ne able to create videos, guides, etc.
Thanks,
Matt

When I made my statement it was not about you guys as a broker. It was about the company Market Delta directly.
It's not they they don't have material up to help people but its not organized in a step by step manner and this is whats causing the confusion. Some of the videos were made 6 years ago and the software has been updated many times since then.
It's time for an updated instruction videos. I don't even want to ring support because I have been blowing them up a lot.
We will see what tomorrow holds.

My comments were not a result of anything related to Optimus Futures. I sincerely wanted to help you navigate through the platform, and at the same time see what needs to be updated. Trevor the owner of MD is a great guy, and one of the most decent guys in this industry, so I really have the sincere intentions to help him as well.
As an FYI, I am not scared or deterred by criticism if I feel it helps the community.
You had a legitimate concern, and I wanted to help who might the same issue, but never said a word. We created videos for almost every platform we have on YouTube, so adding another one would not be an issue.

Sorry I did not get back to you in time. I had to do some trading for the day and then I went out to go play some tennis afterwards. And I do not disagree with your that Trevor is a good guy. I truly believe he is. I just look at it as something that happens when you run a business. Some things get overlooked when things are moving.
But its frustrating to see a tool that could be of so much value but you can't get it to work.
My Issues...
I have everything installed and data connected. The challenge I am having is setting up a chart for the new footprint and getting my chart to show me historical data. I also don't know if my data is coming in properly or not. I'm using a CQG feed but the more a I watch the videos from MD I notice that I probably should have used IQ Feed.
But to be clear...
1. I am having issues with setting up my charts and getting historical data uploaded to them. The reason why I want historical data is that I want to be able to look over the trades I took last week and observe the order-flow that was taking place while I was entering, managing and exiting my position.
I want to get my charts set up like the image below....Volume Imbalance
First, I suggest to find out of CQG does provide history over MD, and for how long.
That could be the entire issue. Having DTN might give you more accurate data, while CQG just provides the execution.

DTN is the company that provides IQFeed..it's their product.
Start getting IQFeed into your MD, and then just use CQG for execution.
The guys at MD would know how to do the IQFeed Set up.

Are you trying to achieve "Market Wizard" in one day?
PLEASE read the thread, it is about CQG as a data feed and MarketDelta.

Matt, there is a difference in connecting MD with CQG Integrated Client and the CQG Trader. If you don't believe me just ask Ryan at MD if you can connect to CQG IC? When I asked Ryan this a while back he sent me this reply:
CQG Integrated Client is not compatible with MarketDelta Software. The newer CQG API that is part of the MarketDelta Trader Platform is capable of connecting to CQG. This connection is similar to the one in CQG Trader. MarketDelta Charts is also able to share the CQG connection from MarketDelta Trader to obtain real-time data as well. Basically both MD Trader and MD Charts would be sharing the same real-time data connection via trader.
What I was doing was I was trying to connect to the CQG Integrated Client data feed that I use for charts, not a CQG related broker data feed. Yes, people still do subscribe to CQG Integrated Client for charts. I trade overseas markets that Kinetick don't offer, that is why I use CQG Integrated Client and I wanted to use MD with that data feed, so I asked Ryan at MD and the above message is what he told me.
I did not see it anywhere on TradeAction's posts where he mentioned he was using CQG Trader or Integrated Client. That is why I asked. Maybe I missed it somewhere in his posts. I am not trying to start anything or prove anything. I just trying to help.
I am well aware that CQG does not provide universal logins to everyone. However, in this case, it is a data feed SPECIFIC to CQG and MD. The customer has issues retrieving history and building charts, not connectivity issues.

Both of these links go to page that state that CQG does have a historical data feed so do you mind clarifying this. And I will contact MD tomorrow and see what they come up with.
These are references to their own sites and platforms, so asking MD would be smart.
Our experience has been limited to Rithmic and MD only, and that is where three months of data should be provided.
Through our new clearing arrangements, we are working with CQG a bit more and will gain more experience over time.
Thanks,
Matt
