silvester17. you´re refering to the active trader (i have tos aswell). it´s not a real DOM(depth-of-market). all you se is the best bid/ask.

plus if your trading futures you´re paying almost double in commissions than with other brookers. the commission part is one of the most important pieces of the puzzle to consistent profitability...

if you would fund your account, you had access to the depth of the market.

I'm not using TOS either, it sure is pretty expensive.

silvester17. my account in TOS is funded i didn´t se the level2 info. just mailed support and they responded "sorry, we didn´t activate it, but now its fine"... and my accunt is funded since more than a year ago... good service

still, looking at it now. the ninja and the zenfire beta DOM is much better in my opinion... i keep my TOS funded so i can access breadth and qoutes for stocks and forex but i never execute through it. and now adays with delta i track that instead of breadth...

the commissions are to high to justify TOS. just say u do 3 roundtrips a day. thats a lot of money in a year. commissions is a big part why many traders dont make it. the first level of consistency is just breaking even. it´s said that when u can cover your costs you are a competent trader...

Hi, thanks for the great response. i agree, i've been papertrading with tos and even though my system works i could never make it with those commissions...
could you please provide more details about how to use ninjatrader with zenfire with two logins and the webtrader in case if the ninja crashes. i'm worried about brokers who don't allow serverside oco storage - because i'm scared of ninjatrader or my computer crashing and not cancelling one of the bracket orders... that's a major risk if you are a scalper. that's why i'm thinking of using interactive brokers, because they allow OCO feature... however i've been reading a lot of negative reviews about their order slippage... so i'm completely lost as to which broker is the safest and best for order execution (i don't need charting - i use TOS charts with my custom indicators, i just need a good solid execution with OCO brackets).
thanks

I tried all of those platforms and I'm strongly convinced that any web-based solution is suitabel only as back-up tool for swing and long term players who wish to check and adjust their positions somewhere in airport between Goa and Maldives or London and Frankfurt ))) Non of them is not definitely convenient for active intraday trading moreover for scalping. Personally I used CQG Mobile several times on-the-go and even made some live trades but it was not best ever trading experience I ever had

I respect your opinion, and I can not say conclusively that web based execution is better that a downloadable one.
However, if you see the thread below me, it was July 12, 2012. We are 4 years after and we have added a lot of variety to the market place. We came a long way even if it's just a backup.

I will let the technology companies argue the latency, but scalpers, need the best connectivity possible for execution regardless of software we web.

BTW, I like the choice of Maldives and Goa as destinations. I travel between "did you connect my platform already?" and "Daddy, can you take the dog out?"

Have a GREAT long weekend.

You are defintelly right, Matt! 2016 became breakthrough year for cloud based trading solutions! Especially I like TT and Market Delta. But I still believe that those solutions are really good only as backup for serious traders.

Have a great long weekeend too!

Don't tell TT that as they're phasing out their serious trader platform for the new web one!

I haven't made the jump yet to any of these platforms, still trading WTI and Ngas via CFD's on MT4.

Do any one of these platforms mentioned above allow order modifications after order is open? For stop loss, trailing, etc?
