I am using it and got some problems with it -some days it doesnt work at all and other days my readings feel a little off... I have traded Snp 500 a lot using NYSE TICK from antoher datafeed and I know that the TICK indicator is a very subtle indicator but it would be very interesting to hear other traders experiances?
It could be a internet/computer problem as I had some problems there before...
All input very welcome!
Cheers
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
I am not sure if I there is some mixed up: The IBIS is the Interactive Brokers Information System.
The data feed goes to the TWS (Trading Work Station) or to the web based IB Web Trader.
With a API you can get the data from TWS going to your chart program.
Now - what are you using from the above mentioned? Or something else?
From IB homepage: Use market indicators to help spot trends. The Tick Index indicator shows the number of stocks trading on an uptick minus the number of stocks trading on a downtick. The TRIN (Trader's Index) indicator is a technical analysis indicator calculated by dividing the advances-to-declines spread by the volume of advances to declines.
And the German XETRA Exchange is called IBIS.. Google "IB Products & Exchange - XETRA (IBIS)" and you get to the homepage. (I was unable to post links with only three posts here
XETRA is very interesting for DAX traders, the same way as NYSE TICK is interesting for ES traders
