You should post here in this thread about your TradeVec experiences so far, screen shots, interface, comparison vs Ninja, etc.

Looks good. What are your thoughts on the platform so far? How does it compare to Ninja?

The availability of Volume studies -----> CumulativeDelta, DeltaVolume makes the platform attractive for Bid/Ask studies; and I love that. Its "management of latency" feature specifically during market volatility is also of benefit for internet connection of medium quality (e. g. wireless broadband).

I'm still comparing it with NT7/IQFeed and I'll post my experience before my 14-day trial period expires.

Do you know yet how much it costs? Will give it a try if it is reasonable.

I've had an opportunity to test-drive the TradeVec platform for a few weeks. I've also been a Beta-Tester for NT7 since its launch. In my quest to have a good charting platform, I've had to use SierraChart too for a while. I'm at moment considering the following two options;

1. Use TradeVec for both my charting and Order execution.

2. Use NT7/IQFeed for my charting and NT7 DOM or X_Trader (I'm not yet comfortable with X_Trader) for my Order execution.

In the course of my above consideration, I have the following comparisons between TradeVec and NT7/GOMVolumeLadder.

Criteria 1: GUI

TradeVec has an exotic and compact User Interface that can be contained in a Workspace; unlike NT7 that has "dislocated" panels/Workspace.

TradeVec does not have a DOM, it however has what is called Execution Zone which does not have all the functionalities of a DOM; NT7 has two types of DOM but which are not automatically and basically available to subscribers.

Criteria 2: Platform Launching and Chart Loading

TradeVec platform launches without any blemish. NT7 launching could be problematic, sometime. Charts load seamlessly on TradeVec. Charts loading on NT7 could be very disturbing when NT misbehaves.

Criteria 3: Chart Types

NT7 has lots and lots of chart types (Minutes - daily, weekly, monthly; Tick; Volume; Range; Renko; PointandFigure; Kagi; etc). TradeVec is very very poor in chart types (it has only Minutes - daily, weekly, monthly; Volume; and what it calls EqualRange). I still don't understand the EqualRange chart type.

Criteria 4: Indicators

NT7 array of indicators cannot be matched, in any way, by TradeVec's. However, TradeVec comes with Volume studies that are not available on NT7 as built-in (thanks to GOMI for his VolumeLadder on NT).

NT7 indicators can be tweaked, tweaked and tweaked to various flavors of one's choice. TradeVec indicators are compiled into DLL and cannot be easily tweaked unless you delve into DLL studies.

Criteria 5: Data-feed connectivity

NT7 connects to more data-feed providers than TradeVec. NT7 connects to more than 10 data-feed providers. TradeVec currently connects to only TT, with connection to IQFeed under test.

Criteria 6: Documentation/User Manual

NT's User Manual and Documentation is comprehensive. TradeVec does not presently have any user Manual/Guide.

My view

If a trader's style is a simple "Price Action" set-up without the need for indicators, then TradeVec is it. TradeVec's Delta and Cumulative Delta studies is very attractive to traders with Bid and Ask studies set-ups.

At the moment, I love Bid and Ask studies. I'm still exploring the Bid and Ask studies capability of NT7/IQFeed/GOMVolumeLadder. I'll also explore the TradeVec/IQFeed when it is available.

Whenever it is necessary to update the above Review/Comparison, I'll gladly do so.

I tried TravedVec and sincerily I don't like it, it seems to me a little rudimental platform far away from others NT7 too, the cumulative delta study work only on real time, an TT data feed is not good for these kind of study. The visual impact for charting is poor, and compared to NT there's no challenge, NT has, imho, the best visual charting impact and the best global view.
Then volume profile looks good but disapper if u enable trading tool.
Don't know about executions, maybe could be good if it has good integration with TT data that is fats data.

Lubo.

Take your Pips, go out and Live.

Lets see what TradeVec/IQfeed has to offer. In any case, if a trader's set-up requires just simple 20EMA and good CumulativeDelta study (via for example, IQFeed) on a 5-minute or 1024-volume chart, for a "Price Action"/Volume studies style, the visuality presented by this setup should suffice.

As regard trade execution, I'll include this in my next update review.

I reached out to TradeVec to do a webinar presentation and talk about their platform here on futures.io (formerly BMT), but they ignored me. If anyone has a contact at TradeVec and wants to see this happen, please tell them to contact me.

@Big Mike, you should reach out to Paul Wilson over at VCAP for any webinars.. he will more than gladly provide one IMO... personally, contrary to everyone else here, I like tradevec as a trading platform.. I find it much more stable than NT7 and quite frankly now that tradevec has had strategies for a few months, I see the edge for NT7 eroding quite a bit.

I am sure that for those that care about the charting, creating their custom indi's, and dont want to pay for a platform NT7 is still the best choice and option.. but I am not arguing the benefits of NT7... I am just commenting on the benefits of tradevec. I will post a few screen captures of the new features for those that might find it of interest.

I will post more captures later on that focus on the more notable features.

Personally, I like the fact that I can see the chart, and the Depth of Market for the instrument, and days hi/lo, etc.. all on the chart... and I also like that I can carry the same strategies that I have with NT7 Active Trade Management...
