Better than Ninja Trader?

HI Guys,
Just wanting to know from those with the experience, is there a better, easier platform than Ninja Trader for programming your own indicators and tools? More the non-standard, reasonably complex tools.
FYI, I have some C# experience.
Cheers,
Ken.

Ninjascript is based on C#, so there is no reason to go away from Ninja (in my opinion). I have developed my own ("non-standard") indicators using Ninjascript, so if you have "some" C# experience, Ninja is the best place ...

Thanks for the reply man.
The biggest hassle I am having with Ninja is not knowing all of their own Ninja C# code.
It's code that they have written exclusive to Ninja, but "unsupported", so if you can work it out you can use it, but you`re on your own.
It`s much different also, coding in the Ninja editor, to coding windows apps in VS2013.
So if there was something easier i`d like to know?

Cheers.

Well, you won't have the full source code of other C# compatible trading software either.
Another C# friendly software is MultiCharts .Net but it's much harder to code with it, the available methods are much very "low level".
Ninja is the best option IMHO, far above any other option, and finding how the undocumented functions are working is not very difficult. And as Ninja 8 will be more "open", no doubts about it...

Thanks for the advice, I expect you are probably right.
And yes I believe NT8 will be heaps better in that regard, I have been waiting anxiously for it`s release.
But it`s almost like a myth, I keep hearing that it`s coming but they can never say when, We`ve all been waiting so long. Bring it on!!! I say, Bring it on!!!

Cheers,

I basically agree with both of your comments and concerns. Maybe it's time now all of us to ask Ninja to draw their attention to solve this specific problem of the "undocumented C# functions" , something which I also noticed sometimes in the past. We will see Ninja's 8 functionality on this issue, and, then, we can talk again about it.

I am not in a position to discuss this at this time but here is a screenshot of our NT8 Help Guide specifically showing items previously undocumented/unsupported now officially supported.

I am very glad our small discussion was the cause and the motive Ninja to react immediately and inform their clients (and the rest of the trader's world community) with this critical information. Thank you Ninja. The only pending thing is Ninja to give us an estimation of the NT8's release time...
At this point I take the chance to highlight the importance of a "visual programming language" on an "OPEN code" basis; this issue is CRITICAL - but still pending - and I don't see something real new or revolutionary in the market.
They must understand that we, the traders, are not necessarily programmers , and we need EASY TOOLS to program our strategies without so much complexity or difficulty. However there are companies offering some good products in this field. In my opinion, if they want more traders and more money to get into the markets then they should invent such a VPL.

Yes, it was excellent to see that screen shot, thanks NinjaTrader!
I just can`t wait for the release to finally happen, I`m sure NT8 will be awesome.
I`m so looking fwd to using it.
