Column In Explore Results Showing Sector Name For Each Ticker
I am posting in the AmiBroker section because I did not see a generic (Higher-level) section to post in. Actually I have been using AB for many years. I am basically hoping to build a 'Watchlist' of specific stocks by running an Explore in AB against just a few (100-200) tickers. What I would love to do is create a column in the Results grid that shows the actual sector name for each ticker. As everyone knows, in the U.S. markets there are about 12 major sectors.
I think this may be possible if I have access to AmiQuote and if I am willing to download some kind of Yahoo database of stock info. However I have my OWN stock data source (Reuters) and I am very happy with it and I don't want to expend more money at this point.
Can someone tell me if this is possible? Or could I find a flexible and configurable freeware (or shareware) program that could allow me to create a 'sector' column?
Well, thanks to anyone in advance for your help.
Josef
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
My affiliation is being a licensed user.
Since I drive only BMW I have not been banned on futures.io (formerly BMT).
What about you?
Do you trade or are you affiliated with NSA by any chance?
Wait someone told you fled to Ecuador because of using cracked AmiBroker connecting to AMP and/or because of other stuff. Is that true? Dont know, just heard gossip.
Earlier in the day your IP came from Europe, in a similar location as the previous AmiBroker related user that has been banned many times for violating forum policy.
Then once I asked you about your IP, it changed to a US based IP.
When you signed up and created your account, you were told specifically in big bold red print that you needed to list an accurate physical location for abuse measures. But what you entered did not match.
