Does anybody know of an indicator for ninja trader that allows you to plot standard deviation bands over top of volume?

Select VOL as input series for the anaBollingerUniversal indicator and overlay it on the volume panel. See chart attached.

The default has 2 std deviations and 20 periods. Is this the preferred setting?
Or something like 1.5 dev and 8 periods better?
I'm a newbie and may be asking dumb questions.

It is up to you. With volume I would rather use a shorter period and a smaller multiplier. You have to try and find out which settings fit best your trading setups.

As stated its subjective to your setups and the market conditions, look around you'll see most recommendations will be between 1-3 sd's. Good luck!

Sands.
