I want to use a STP LMT and/or LIT order in tws from interactive brokers, however I can't seem to get it work somehow.
When you look at attached picture, what I want is to enter a lmt buy order above current price, which is triggered when price penetrates the price.
For example in the picture, price is now 3723.50. I want to enter at 3725.00 with a lmt order ( and attached bracket-order) when price touches 3725.00 and put this order in advance in the market, and cancel otherwise( instead of manually put the order in when I see price reaching 3725.00).
I experimented this with LIT and STP LMT order, but somehow can't get it to work. Tws will fill the order immediately as with a normal buy lmt order put in the market above current price. Does anyone know what I do wrong?
Update: using the 'normal layout' this is normally possible, as it should be. However when I want to enter via booktrader it doesn't work for some reason
Edit: solved: the problem was in my booktrader settings
Thanks anyway!
Can you help answer these questions from other members on NexusFi?
@tennon,
you have to configure your booktrader settings. Go to global configuration, select
1. hotkeys
2. select a configured shortcuts
3. select configure
4. customize your order here

@haljordan,
Thanks, if remembering correctly at that time I tried every combination, but could you be more specifick when you see attached picture? ( at this moment I simply enter via a normal lmt order when price trades at the trigger)

I'm having the same issue, although I don't use BookTrader. After saving my stop limit order preset, placing my order using ChartTrader results in a limit order by default. I have to then change it manually before transmitting it.
