In the image above you can see an options order and an order ticket.
It displays your working orders and from there you can go MKT, Cancel/Replace, and/or change the price.
You can also liquidate your positions from the order management tab.

No backtesting (for that you need IC and you need to pay an extra for it)
1 chart at a time (no a problem for me)
programming language offer less flexibility than NT for example
no automated trading system (need IC for that)
Pro:
stable: Qtrader is running for 5 month 24/24 without a single crash (done 1 reboot in 5 month but it was for windows)
fast: I have technical indicator that is a monstrosity on NT7 it freezes the computer for 5 min (5 real minutes...) at each uptade, on NT8 it freezes the computer for less than 1s but you see it, on Qtrader i see no difference and I can play civ5 on the same computer at the same time.
programming language: very easy to learn and very powerful once you have understood how to use Conditions and user formulas.

I use other platforms and want to get this down using Qtrader for UDS strategies?
I have some info from CQG where the platform is slightly different for spreads?
Anyone regularly uses CQG for UDS strategies for selling spreads, calendars and rolling them?

I have been having connectivity issues with my QTrader over the past few weeks. The most extreme case was last week when I had placed a limit order, then issues started, and I could not say whether I had been able to cancel it or not as the system was telling me two different things.
Today I had again issues and the support team told me this is affecting other people as well.
Typical messages are "Your system is not receiving price data" or "Network delay found. Reported latency: 3 sec." where no. of sec can vary.
OK, so I just switched over to Qtrader for both options and futures, previously I was using a combo of CTS T4 and Sierra Chart running off the same feed, using Sierra to trade Futures and CTS to trade ES options.
Qtrader Dom is better than either the Sierra Dom or CTS's, and they allow you to place Greeks on the DOM (delta or IV per tick per strike etc as well as offering synthetic stops to be placed on the dom (they are held on CQG server). This allows you to trade OCO/bracket orders on options, which is very handy. Charting wise, you are limited to one chart with 4 tabs, and no multimonitor display but since I still use Sierra for charts/profiles etc, I really don't care. You can also see cumulative bid/offer size so easy to read order flow at the trade level.
CQG does things a bit different to most other platforms, sometimes this is good and others bad (there is no flatten or reverse buttons on the dom, there is only a global liquidate button that will take you out of all trades with one click)
I really like trading with it though, great DOM and fantastic support, they will answer the phone 1st ring on a sunday evening, who else does that?
You do have the ability to reverse position or flatten (liquidate), it's just not intuitive.
You need to right-click on your position at the top of the DOM (in the example right-click on S1 @ 44.34) and then you get the 2 choices as per screenshot.
Thanks for this. Not intuitive is right! I would still vastly prefer buttons that are available all the time, just makes things easier as I usually flatten futures trades to take myself out of a position, with options i'll click a mid price limit to get out usually (if you flatten on options you'll get the worst fill possible at bid and often there is a large spread)
