While my antivirus was running I noticed that Amibroker generates a large volume of files each time it runs and I can find no easy way of clean it up. Does anyone know how to delete old backtest reports, analysis files, etc.?

On another note, has anyone tried this program for fully automated trading with IB?

AFAIK, there are only backtest and optimization report files saved to the "Reports" folder in the AmiBroker directory. But those files are not saved on each run of AmiBroker but only if you click backtest or optimization button in the analysis window so I'm not sure what your are referring to in regards to "Amibroker generates a large volume of files each time it runs". Exploration and scan don't save report files if you don't add own save routine to your code.

To delete unwanted reports just go to the report explorer button in the analysis window

Then if explorer is opened just mark those reports and delete them via delete button. If you want to view reports just double click each entry in the report explorer.

As for auto-trading .. a buddy of mine has been auto trading futures with AmiBroker via IAB for years without problems. Problems should only occur from IAB side. On a side note and just in case you didn't know yet ... you can use any feed other than IAB and still can sent orders to IAB. That's achieved by using ALIAS in information window of each symbol. So to trade with IAB you don't need to use their limited feed to send orders to them via AB trading interface.

Personally I don't auto-trade but use AB for chart trading.

Thanks badab... it worked. I just could not find the information in the manual. Also thanks for the autotrading info. I am now thinking of increasing my trading timeframe to 2-10 day position trading to deal better with volatility so I will no need to autotrade.

BTW you can customize all UI tool bars to large extent.
This would be the standard tool bars of analysis after first installation

And for example this one would be a customized one (permanently available if saved)

Tools>Customize or right-click tool bars and choose Customize
